Privacy policy

This website is operated by ABC Translation. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Maltese Data Protection Act (Cap. 586).

Data we collect: when you contact us through the form or by email, we process your name, email address, phone number, the content of your message and any documents you send us.

Purpose and legal basis: we use this data only to answer your request, prepare a quote and carry out the services you order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to meet our legal obligations, for example accounting (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Recipients: your documents are shared only with the translators, notaries, authorities and couriers needed to complete your order, all of whom are bound by confidentiality. Emails are handled through Google Workspace and the website is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland.

Retention: requests that do not lead to an order are deleted after 12 months. Order data is kept for as long as required by law.

Cookies: this website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not load third-party analytics or fonts.

Your rights: you can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability by writing to info@abc-office.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta.
